ADJECTIVES & ADVERBS

Adjective
Adjective (adjective) is the word used to give properties to a noun. Each adjective has a limiting power, and the adjective may be defined as a word used to restrict the use of a noun.

Demonstrative
Adjectives that limit the use of nouns to people / objects.
Example:
1.      this, these (something very close), for example: this book, these books
2.      that, those (something further away)
3.      such (an adjective meaning of this or that to a new word or to be mentioned), eg: his praise of me was not sincere, i do not like such a man.

Quantitative
In accordance with its name, quantitative adjective is used to describe an object or a thing.
Example:
1.      I have many books in my own library (I have many books in my own library)
2.      she needs much money to buy something (she needs a lot of money to buy something)
3.      I need a little sugar into my coffee (I need a little sugar into my coffee)
4.      he just has few comics (he only has a few comics)
5.      there are many houses in this village (there are many houses in this village)

Attributive
A normal form of adjective occupies a position before noun or noun. Attributive adjective is very often encountered in the English sentence itself.
Example:
1.      I see a beautiful girl sits under the tree (I saw a beautiful girl sitting under a tree)
2.      I want to buy an expensive watch for my mom. (I want to buy an expensive watch for my mom)
3.      I think, it is a cheap thing that you have ever given (I think this is a cheap item you've ever given)

Predicative
Term for adjectives placed after the noun it describes. Or it could be said that the predicative adjective is an adjective that is used or placed after the verb, since it is between the noun described by its adjective separated by the linking verb or some of the following verbs: become, grow, taste, look and seem.
example
1.      The cat is lazy. (The cat is lazy.)
2.      Miss Yoan is very beautiful. (Miss Yoan is very pretty.)
3.      Our parents grow older every day. (Our parents are getting older every day.)
4.      I am happy. (I am happy.)

Adverb
An adverb or adverb is a word that provides an explanation of the place, time and manner of an activity or event that occurred.
Example: here, now, softly, loudly, tomorrow, again, twice, never, etc.
Adverbs are also defined as words that describe verbs, adjectives, prepositions and other words except nouns and pronouns.
Example:
1.       she is cooking now.
(Word now in the sentence is a time statement describing a cooking verb).
2.       Budi reading loudly.
(The word loudly in the sentence explains how the mind reads).
3.      Wenny never comes before dinner.
(The word never in the sentence is a description of the frequence / frequency hint).

Adverb of Time.
It is an adverb that specifies the timing of a job, action or event. Example: afterwards, already, before (before), often (often), now, today (soon), soon (immediately), immediately (soon) , Lately (recently), yesterday (yesterday), etc.
Sample application in sentence:
I'am stydying english now. (I'm learning English now).
To help show Adverb of Time, we can ask the question "when".

Adverb of Place.
It is an adverb that indicates where the action, action or event occurred. Example: above (above), back (behind), below (below), around, here (here), somewhere (somewhere), everywhere (anywhere), there (there) , Etc.
Sample application in sentence:
She studies English here. (He learned English here).
To help show Adverb of Place, we can ask the question with the word "where" (where).

Adverb of Manner.
It is an adverb that reveals how a work was done or an event took place. Example: carefully (carefully), fluently (smoothly), hard (hard), fast (fast), slowly (slowly, slowly), suddenly (together), together (together) Same), etc.
Sample application in sentence:
They worked hard. (They work hard).
To help show Adverb of Manner, we can ask the question "how" (how).

Adverb of Frequency.
It is an adverb that states how much or how much a job, action or event is performed.
1.      adverb of quantity.
Usually to determine the adverb of quantity we ask the question with the word "how often".
Examples: always, usually, never, ever, sometimes (sometimes) seldom (seldom), generally (generally) etc.

Sample application in sentence:
Andi always drinks milk every night. (Andi always drinks milk every night).

2.      adverb of number.
Usually to determine the adverb of number we ask the question with the words "how many times" (howmany times).
Example: once (once), twice (twice), thrice (three times), half (half), twofold (two Fold), etc.

Sample application in sentence:
He eats twice every day. (He eats twice a day)
